Mat and Celia Tavares of Tavares Motorsport,LLC in Carlisle ,Mass have recently completed a 24 page appraisal of my "Ferrari The Golden Years 1947-1967" collection. Their work was fine in all respects and I can recommend their services highly. The collection is valued at $42,625.00 and is currently on going having added a collection of blueprints , posters and photographs. The collection is currently not for sale but I would like to get insurance coverage. My local Liberty Insurance agent has advised the company has cancelled offering this kind of coverage. I am looking for a reputable company. If anyone and some good suggestions I would be most appreciative.Thanks. tonga"s crew

I have my car insured with these guys and it looks like they have specialty collector's insurance as well. Their primary thing is cars, so it may be worth a call

In Massachusetts try contacting Skinner, the art auction house in Boston. They may be able to point you to a New England carrier that may specialize in such collections. Or try any major art auction house or museum for advice.

    Hi Tonga,

Took me some time to figure out your title, insurance and value of $42,625.00 what type of cars would fit your collection.....
But they are (expensive) books I understand now.

    ciao

I cant help but this think that these posts (of which there are several) are leading to the sale of Tonga's Crew (Tonga Screw/Tong Ascrew/Ton Gascrew/Tongasc Rew/To Ngascrew/Tongascre W).
I will give you $500 for your leather bound version of Making A Difference

You can't add a rider on to the 'Contents' portion of your homeowner's coverage??

    That's how I handle it.

Items like my Joe Namath fur coat, the Ferrari crew jackets, stuff like that.
