    Aloha, Aloha 355,

And greetings from the Big Island. I have insurance through Grundy, who subcontracts (if that's the right jargon) to Chubb. Actual Cash Value on my 328 is $45 K, and for that I pay $663 per annum. As I have a teen driver at home, I had to provide a notarized paper saying that no one under 25 would drive the car. Coverage includes $300 K liability and complete comprehensive and collision. The premium is based directly on the ACV, so if your car is worth $90K, you could expect to pay $1300 or so.

    Good luck in your search!

    Cheers, Mark

I've got an '02 360 with State Farm. I pay $1,410 per year or $705 per 6 months with $300k/$500k/1,000 deductible.

I am having a tough time finding a company to insure my 99 355 F1 convertible. For reasons unexplained to me, Nationwide went from $890/year to $4500/year (This is NOT a misprint!). My driving record is unblemished and no claims have ever been filed. I am the only driver and my mileage is under 5000/year. I tried Leyland-West, Grundy, Hagerty and American Hobbyist. They all turned me down because my car was "too new". I have a friend with Allstate who has quoted me $1700/year for $100K/$300 with $1000 deduct. I may go with her as I really have no other alternatives. If you find a company who quotes you something reasonable, PLEASE let me know. Again, good luck. Insurance Companies SUCK!

The Hagerty webste allows you to quote that car in Arkansas, but you need to choose "exotic" instead of "stock."

But the website could be wrong.

That quote from Allstate seems reasonable. You may want to get quotes from State Farm/Farmers/Etc. to compare, and get quotes on combining your auto and homeowners insurance, to qualify for some discounts.

I have insured my 88.5 TR through Hagerty with max on liability, $1000 deductible and 5000 mile per year limit. I pay just under $900 per year. 7500 per year limit is not much more. I also have an agreed value of $75K. Either Hagerty or Leland-West would be your best choices - they specialize in these types of vehicles. Most, if not all of the standard insurers will not give you an agreed value policy and will be at least twice as much if they will even insure.

My policy is identical. Grundy is the broker for Chubb's Exotic Car Policy. My 308 has an agreed value of $45k for $680/year.

I used to have Leland West for my 355 spider in Idaho. They do not cover in Hawaii. I live there part time. For my 360 spider I went with Geico at $2200 a year. Geico costs more, but no limitation on miles, drivers, etc. Now my grown kids and "some" friends can take it for a spin.

If you have access to USAA defintely use them. My car is valued at $200k and my 6 month premium (with underage drivers who do not drive the car) is just a bit over $600. My policy has no driving restrictions.

I have a 1999 355 F-1 GTS, live in Michigan and pay $966 for 6-months then another $170 for one more month of driving and another $200 for 5 months while it's parked in my garage so the bottom line is $1336 for the year and I can drive it 7 months of the year. The coverage is 250k/500k with a $500 collision deductible. The policy is through State Farm. To get this rate I had to switch my homeowners insurance to them as well. If I had not switched my homeowners insurance it would have raised the car insurance by about $300 bucks. I have a clean driving record and anyone can drive the car.

I considered Leland West - which was about $800 for the year but for my taste they have too many restrictions. Hope this helps. marc

I have a 1999 456m insured with Costco American Express.
    I pay 597 semi annually.
I recently asked my home insurer Farmers to give me a quote and he could not compete with Costco American Express.
I am very happy with them.

Ditto on the get USAA if possible comment. My 308 is under them. I pay less per 6 months full coverage no limits then my BMW. I think it is 320/6mo. I got a quote for a 355 worth about 75k and it would have cost ~480/6m. 36 yrs old, perfect record.

I just changed over from AAA to American Express - I carry full coverage with high deductibles on comp & collision ($1K/$2.5K) on my Benz, Porsche and the 348. Gonna be about $2800/year for all three cars and that's living in downtown LA, plus with 5,000-7,500 miles on Benz and 348 and 7,500-10,000 on the Porsche (yeah we drive a bit). Was over $4K for all three with AAA.

Just reread winston's post - we are getting the Costco discount too.

    Cheers
    Kevin

I use Grundy excellent cust service and agreed value is the only way to go. May not be as cheap as some but at least they will pay your claim, unlike Allstate who will do whatever is possible and legally boarderline to get out of paying or pay as little as possible.

Get rid of Allstate if you have a claim or you get into an accident thats your fault they wont settle the claim and they will drag you through a trial or other litigation procedures. Consider yourselves warned

One discount I forgot to mention, both cars rated under 7500 miles/year.

Im going to second this. A close friend of mine had a really bad accident,
and decided to visit one of these ambulance chaser lawyers, I tagged
along.... The lawyer mentioned AllState members are the majority
of his clientele because they just low-pay or no-pay on claims and its
a huge issues to get money out of them.
