Hey guys! I need to get my intake repainted or powder coated. Has anyone done their intakes a different colour other than red? Any pictures? Thanks
I've painted a few intakes and valve covers using wrinkle finish paint (which is available in both red and black). It usually comes out pretty darn nice. Have you considered just doing it yourself? Here are a few photos of a little wrinkle finish I just did on my pickup truck's valve cover. I also hit the plenum area with a little black and it turned out pretty nice. Thanks mate. Good work! I was thinking of giving it a go myself but I’ve heard it’s a nightmare to remove and replace the intakes off the 458?
I've never done it myself, but my guess is that it's probably a time consuming job which requires a lot of attention to detail to do correctly. Ray
