    What color/finish should the intake trumpets have? They were a light gold when we opened the engine up, but that may be due to 40 years of fuel.
    Should they be anodized or bare aluminum (or whatever they are made of)?

    Pretty sure bare aluminum. Try cleaning it with a solvent, the discoloration should come right off.

    Thanks AK Jim. They have been cleaned and are now bare aluminum. Just wasn't sure if the gold was old gas or some sort of coating.

    Just a confirmation that on my 365 they were bare aluminum.
