    Absolutely BRILLIANT.

That shot of Alonzo at about 4:50 where he is completely exhausted and someone pours water over his head. Perfect moment.

    Man, I love this ****.

maybe its me, but all these compliation videos done by amature videographers just kind of leave me flat... its nice seeing the footage, and the music is nice but .. .after a while its the same thing... you need some narrative to make them worth while..

This one stands above most for the quality and rarity of it's video. The part that I don't like is the quotes or in others, the narration, that tries to make this more than it is. It's driving a car, not surgery. (or is that rocket science)

I could also do without the music, these scenes need no other dramatic effect.
The quotes well illustrate the passion for racing, not just "driving a car" these greats had. I'd be pleased to know my surgeon has the passion for his craft these fellows express. Also noted is that none of the quotes, sans one from MS, were from the modern era. Perhaps by choice of the producer but I suspect the current bunch may have less profound things to say.
    Yes, I'm nostalgic.

But that's just it, your surgeon most likely had to do lots of hard unpleasant work over years, judged by those better than he/she before being let loose on you. And I highly doubt it gives him/her a high, more likely small fraying of the nerves. These guys are just driving a car, most with finely tuned skills, but many because of their last names or the check they bring with them. No shortage willing to take their place, and don't forget Nascar and Indy or all the bike series. So many here blow this all out of proportion. The only place I can think I would really say wow, are the few who don't lift in the turns at Indy in certain years.

I recently have had the services of a surgeon, a fine one(even though a Panzer driver)with evident passion for what he does. Passion combined with innate skills make champions, on track or the O.R. Why do you feel the need to diminish this?
You are the only person I "know" who is underwhelmed by the skills of champion F1 drivers. I can't imagine you have even the slightest inkling of what it is they do.

I actually complimented the video so what are you talking about? Indy, Nascar, MotoGP, Superbike don't have their own awesome video's?

No need to diminish, just some level headed thinking. Not underwhelmed, just not overwhelmed. Not the Slightest inkling, but you do? How did you get your inkling, watching video's? lol
