My father had an Interceptor II and then an Interceptor III from new. The Interceptor II had Pirelli CN72s; the Interceptor III came with Dunlops.
The factory literature only specifies Pirelli or Dunlop GR 70 VR 15.

What Pirelli currently do is a full profile 205VR15 CN72 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/pirelli-collezione/cinturato-cn72.html this tyre came out in 1964, and broke the mould for tyres it was the biggest section tyre that could handle the speeds of all the Super cars of the day. so you see at around 1964 Ferrari is changing from fitting 185VR16 Cinturato CA67, or 185VR15 Cinturato CA67 onto 205VR15 or 205VR14. The Maserati of the period were fittin 185VR16 Pirelli Cinturato CA67 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/tyres/185-16.html with a diameter of just over 700mm to fitting the 205VR15 Cinturato CN72 HS. it had the same overall diameter but a fatter section and foot print. They fitted them to the late DB6 and early DBS. The very first Muira, Espada, 350GT, 400GT & Islero. they were also fitted by ISO.

Then in 1968 Pirelli started making Low profile tyres, with the CN36 and i have a listing in a 1971 Pirelli fitment guide that makes me think that the Jensen Healey fitted 185/70VR13 CN36 as OE. https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/jensen/healey/185-70vr13-pirelli-cinturato-cn36.html

Then in 1971 Pirelli developed a high performance CN12 tyre that was used by Lamborghini, Maserati and i thought Jensen.

I must say, it was very much my impression that it was the other way round to what you suggest. I thought the Interceptor started off with Dunlop tyres and later moved to the CN12. do we have any data clarifying?

375+ i don't suppose you have any period pictures do you. that would be great.
