Looks like my new 348 will be delivered today around 4:30......... I'll update with some pics. later.
Oh! We all know those calls! After weeks of waiting, you get that call on your cell phone from the truck driver... "...I'm inbound on I-[your local interstate]," looks like I'll be in town in a few hours with your car. Where do you want to meet?" Of course... The time that it takes to unload the car is known to be one of the longest 1/2 hours a person can wait! Enjoy!

Actually I went for a quick 5 mile run, unfortunately a you can see the roads aren't the greatest. probably a good thing though, it will give me achance to figure and fiddle everything out.
Woo-hoo - congratulations again. I'm gonna go look at my delivery thread again and relive what you're doing right now! Enjoy! Cheers Kevin
Know the feeling well - and the memory never fades. Expected car in early afternoon. Around 11 a.m. the dogs started barking. Looked out front to see the truck - about 2 hours early. Will never forget it. Beautiful car. Congratulations. John
Really nice. What a rush it must be to have that big old truck pull up out front, drop it's tail, and slip your car out the back. Good luck with her, she's a beauty. DM
What a great feeling..one shared by me just a coupl'a weeks ago..Inter City does a fine job..my second delivery from them: [http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=130845&stc=1] [http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=130846&stc=1] Best of luck..Chris #===<OQ
Thank you all for your kind words...................the frustrating thing about this is that its 28* outside.......... I did have an embarassing moment earlier that I forgot to mention..........I had to ask the Intercity driver where reverse was!! I didn't know that you had to push down to engage "R"...........not like the 308!! PS..........my wife even likes it!!
Charles - Also... don't ask me how I know this... but your first trip to the gas station you'll need to know the following: 1. Gas tank door is released through the electrical switch on the center console. Car electrics must be on for it to work. 2. If you foreget item about item #1, there is a manual "pull" cord inside the engine compartment on the leftside (about where the gas tank door is located). What a dunce I was... sitting there in my new Ferrari with no idea how to fill her up!
Thanks for the heads up on that one Dan.............that would have probably been my second embarassing moment. Cheers!!
Congrat's on the 348! Glad to see you captured the moment on film. My one regret was forgetting the camera when intercity delivered mine. Seeing your shots makes it seem like it was just yesterday. The driver had to show me a few things as well. Good luck
If you *don't* have to push down to get into Reverse in a 308, then its shift gate is probably rotated around 180 degrees from where it should be. There *is* the same kind of push-down lockout on the 308's shift gate. In fact, the 308, 328 and 348 all share the same shift gate from the 1970's to early 90's. Actually, the same part number fits 308, 328, 348, Mondial, F40, 288GTO, Testarossa, and GT4.
