Hello & good morning Roel, wonderful pics- thanks a lot for sharing with us. So many rare & beautiful cars..... Lambo Miura in white WOW. The Bugatti Atlantic......waiting for Carsten - I can`t believe thats a real one and not a recreation?! Thanks for all this amazing pics!
Hi Roel Wow thanks a lot They all look very nice But the one for me ...wow!!! I'm glad you remembered that i liked that one
I have been there yesterday too, it was a great show indeed! made a couple of pics, but unfortunately can't post them (i've reached my attachment limit) There were many beautifull and very rare cars, but the Ferrari 860 Monza was the best of the show IMO.
Good looking pics Roel - I really liked that white Miura too Did you get any info on it?? was it for sale??
@Roel, Especially for me and Wolfgang.....WOOOOW Thanks my friend Those beautiful pics makes me wanna go to Maastricht too!!! @Wolfgang You're right buddy....It's a replica.....The Very best there is!!! The Bugatti Atlantic is for sale and it's a car that is ranking VERY high on my wishlist......even though it's a recreation or Replica!!! The car has been on the road for about fifteen or sixteen years now and it's THE VERY BEST REPLICA on the face of this planet, no doubt about that! The car has been built by the World famous Danish Bugatti-guru Erik Koux and absolutely EVERYTHING on the car is made exactly as on the real thing.....no compromises at all. As many of you may know, there are two examples of the original Atlantic in the US and most people will say that these two are the only surviving Atlantics left! This is not so since a third original car survives in France, and owned since many years by Nicolas Seydoux (the chairman of Gaumont Films) The French Atlantic however was changed by Jean Bugatti in arround 1939. The doors were enlarged to ease acces, the hood was changed to get louvres on top and sides, the headlights were faired in the front fenders/wings, and the car got some unique "pontoon-style" rear fenders! Now the Replica on Roel's pics was made exactly as this French surviving car looked original and before the changes were made to the car! The replica here was made to be Erik Koux' private Atlantic and it is indeed the World's best and most correct Atlantic replica.....in many respects it is even more correct than the two original cars in the US!!! Most components used on this car asside from the bodywork is original or at least made from original factory drawings......even the Bodywork is made from the original drawing, so the car can hardly be more correct.... in any respect......well... there might be ONE thing on this car that differs from the original Atlantic.......the color of this replica is a very dark blue, and the original was painted black!!! Well....I could live with that Thanks for sharing these wonderful pics Roel!!! Best Carsten
I've also been to this classic car show, here are some pictures of the 860 Monza: A few more pictures (non-Ferrari, e.g. the Bugatti replica) can be found on my website http://www.automotive-photography.com in the Gallery-section, page 4. Regards, Sjo
