What would your interest and ideas be for a dedicated Ferrari TV channel (On Demand) that could be accessed online? What kind of content would most interest you? Any other feedback?
Would be very interested. Obviously Ferrari History with a tour of the current production and if possible info on 70's till current models. Racing to include GT production. Notable Ferrari events throughout the Country.
Rob I love Doug Demuro type vids on youtube, I dont watch his vids on the crappy cars but I always watch his vids on the good ones. It doesn't have to be original content that would be too time consuming and expensive to create, just a collection of great Ferrari content from youtube there are soooooo many amazing vids and admittedly I find myself watching them alot.
Road Tests Video comparison of different models at Motorsports Ranch ( ah la Top Gear ) and their lap times ( same driver ) I will offer to be THAT driver , I even have a stig helmet! Owner profiles Collection profiles ( FC or FCA members ) Dealership profiles or Ferrari shop profiles S
I like, I would subscribe. Needs to be focused and not all over the place. Create a mission statement so that one has an idea about content. I would like to see history segments, builds documentary style. Also would like walk-arounds and drives of newer models. Please no talk & opinion sessions or spoofs/comedies.
That could be good. I'd like to see documentaries about how the various road models were designed, developed, and put into production. Not the patronizing "how it's made" type of show where they just ooze over whatever car in the same generic terms that could be describing any featured vehicle, but something that explores the real faults and virtues of a car in the context of its place in history - how it moved on from the previous model and how its advantages/shortcomings influenced its successor. All the best, Andrew.
I spend far too much time watching different items on high ends cars. YouTube is addictive. I have a feeling I would get addicted to Ferrari TV as well.
Considering that I watch the reruns on Velocity 100 times, there's no doubt I'd love a Ferrari channel.
I’d be very interested! I can imagine a channel with all sorts of history info: Factory and dealership tours Road tests of different models (new and old) DIY tips and tricks - Fairly easy things like ”perfect waxing” and changing oil Advanced DIY - Checking compression, changing ball joints etc History racing clips Etc, etc
Let's be honest though, as awesome as a Ferrari channel would be, how many of our wives would actually let us watch it? I turn on velocity for a few seconds to watch something I deem cool like a twin turbo charged 1970s rolls royce silver shadow drag car being made and its constant whining till I put on something suitable like the bachelor for her to watch.
A reality fchat show, with the nutters that are here, and aren’t any more, locked in a house together and forced to feed each other ******** every day until they kill each other with ferrari monogrammed hammers!
I would like to see other top flight brands (like Lamborghini) represented too.... What you need are passionate owners talking about their cars - like Bullfighter Jon did for Petrolicious Ferrari trivia game show 1/4 mile races between cars of different eras or cross brand races....I'll take my Diablo and whip a Testarossa Commentary from auctions Highlights from car shows Roundtable discussions with the experts Value roundtables - like what Ferrari should you buy in 2018
Post another pole on “ Backroom Lounge” reality show, and see what results you get. Let’s see: 6:00 clevage show 7:00 legs best legs 8:00 best over 40 bods 9:00 best rear ends 10:00 bikini show And so on!!!
I sort of like Doug but he’s a bit like a Windows XP PC with next generation AI/ Siri /Alexa built into a 6’5” US male. I don’t mean to be offensive, I do sort of enjoy some of his stuff. I’d be more interested in a more serious content like Harry Metcalfe or the great series Alain DeCadenet made. There is now a huge amount of car stuff on YouTube and there are some gems in amongst the bling bling / lifestyle or “influencer” content. Some of the less serious content is still very high quality. If you could make films like Alain DeCadenets series, but in depth on each model or bit of history it would be a must watch, and importantly not like anything else out there. If it is mind numbing-ly stupid and treats it’s viewers like they have the attention span of a goldfish like nearly all US TV (not YouTube) car stuff I wouldn’t be interested. Why do the producers of US TV car stuff make such unremitting crap, when at the same time they make such great drama?
Rob, you should talk to Harry Metcalfe. He’s on here. He set up EVO magazine, he’s interested in the move to video as well as being a participant, and he discusses the current difficulties (getting paid enough) on social media.
Nothing. Discussing Ferrari is not trademark infringement. I think it would be awesome but the content would need to be quality. Many of the shows on Velocity have horrible content.
The question should have more context IMHO. In general I'm not interested, but that's personal as I get my content from different places already on one place. However, if this TV channel is about reviews of new and old Ferrari's I'm interested, also content created by members. Other context that my be valid is about the Fchat subscription. Will it be an add-on or included in higher level subscriptions or will simple be all the subscription fees go up. This all has impact on ones decision.
