Not a fan of the hybrid car concept- too complex and heavy with current technology.
Current generation cars may be the last of an era- More popular? Only time will tell.

Without development, hybrid tech will remain too heavy, complex, and expensive. I can't think of a technology that hasn't had massive reduction in size, weight, complexity, and cost after having years of R&D thrown at it, so I'm all for it. The good thing in this situation is that in addition to hybrid development, McLaren is focusing heavily on the composites side of the house to find further weight reduction. Looks like a good plan to me.

Agree completely on weight reduction. That should replace horsepower as the new battleground for automotive supremacy. 2500 pounds achievable (other than hypercar)?
