Toggie, yes that is my 308. It sure looks clean in your pic! I must have washed it before I drove up to SP. Even though runaway Ferraris are uncommon, that had slipped my mind. However, if memory serves, a couple of other guys were involved there. Happy New Year
captdon, I have some pictures of your car from the October track day, you can pm me your email and I will send them right over.
1984 Alfa Romeo convertible For sale on craigslist. Black/tan. Looks like a barn find. Asking $2900. I like the quote in the ad "Great condition, a bit of dust, ...". http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/car/523863798.html This car could be very cheap to buy (but, perhaps, a lot of money to make perfect). I have no connection to car, seller, or ad. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well see there is the gotcha. The diplomat can bring any car in the country that he wants and doesn't need to federalize it. You on the other hand would need federalize this car, $$$$$$ in order to legally register it.
Anyone know this Testarossa? 1988 Ferrari Testarossa Colors = Red/Tan Asking $79,770, being sold at Fairfax Motors. VIN = ZFFSG17A8J0077145 Miles = 19.6k http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/car/528061346.html No connection to car, ad, or dealer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My wife and I have purchased a car from Fairfax motors-I can only tell you that in our case-this dealer was fantastic. The car was in beautiful shape and we were very happy with the experience. When we buy something, we kick a lot of tires and visit all the dealers. I can't speak about any finance options here-we use Navy fed, but the sales staff was fantastic-The inventory is usually very clean and the cars all show well. The showroom could seriously benefit from a re-do but.....they have a lot of higher end iron to pay for. I have no connection to this place other than buying a car there.

Looks like something Dick Dastardly or Penelope Pitstop would drive.... I love the "Scares the hell out of the chickens" line.
He also says when the tips of the prop approach Mach 1 "it gets pretty loud". Yes, this is the noise most helicoptors make - the tips of the rotors are reaching the speed of sound which is the loud noise you hear as they go by overhead. Also, it looks like a Waco or Stearman bi-plane in the barn in that one picture. I took a ride in a Waco bi-plane down at Myrtle Beach - great fun that was.
