I know others will be upset by the modifications, but I think it's beautiful!

Not upset, but I think it looks un-balanced. A total chop looks good on a C4, this doesn't. Preference is to leave the C4 alone and buy a 308 GTS if you want a targa.

Well, I am upset. The flow which makes the design of the GTC, is totally butchered by making it into a GTS. Can you imagine doing something like that to a Daytona? And the treatment of the trims is all wrong too. This car should be saved!

I like the chop but not the wood. The wood makes it look like a conversion van from the 70's or 80's

Yeah, I will have to agree on the wood, it's not pretty. I don't think it's wood per se, but rather the kind of wood. A darker classier wood would look better.

I can see the points on this one... though at least the flow of the roof is still there when the top is on. Also, to look better the windshield header should be narrower.

Still, if anyone wants to buy it for me, I promise to remove the wood trim! =-)

The interior wood treatment is cheap looking I agree, but the chop job doesn't look so bad. At least it is original I guess.

If you're gonna jack up a model this one's as good as any. Hope they reinforced the frame on that pig or you're gonna have an accordian chassis.

I while back, I had a chance to examine this car very close up and I can honestly say that the workmanship is FLAWLESS.

There is nothing in the interior or exterior that appears out of place.

If you look closely at the interior picture, fourth picture, second row, you will notice a built in Escort radar detector. The recieving antenna was mounted up front while the microprocessor was integrated into the windshiled frame.

Think I'd put the panel on and leave it there for the duration.

Right. And ridiculous to do that. People who really appreciate a Ferrari can't do such a bad thing. All those poor "carrozziere"!

People have done similar chop-jobs to Boxers and Testarossa's as well, and they look equally horrible. And the C4 is such a pretty car with the roof intact, such beautiful flowing lines.

the flowing lines of the GTC4 are the best part of the car. now they are completely destroyed. the interior - wood and seats - is awful !

I think it's not that bad. Maybe they should have done something like the Porsche 911 targa or the Corvette but that would have been quite expensive with the different rear window.

i too like 'em original but this looks great actually(to me).

needs some 5 star wheels and some daytona style seats though and yes the trim should be aluminum........

i would drive it ...yes i would.......

The worse thing to me is the upholstery on the rear seat back. Looks like it was done by Lazy Boy.
