keith, i believe everyone got it. but ur the only one actually felt it needed to be discussed.

 

Maybe as you guys say he is slow, thus it took him a while to figure out, what the rest of the board has figured out for like 2 days now

 

I received the span too - I think Rob or one of the moderators should kick this guy off. Its total BS that a random person should be able to do this ****. Maybe they should mandate that anyone who tries to spam like this should have a minimum of 200 posts, so newbies can't play this type of game.

 

I believe there is a thread abt this in the general section. I heard that f-chat and 6speedonline got widely spammed this week.

A little background on this guy "Kimble" aka Kim Schimtz:

He's a 20-something dude who started as a PC hacker, got busted bigtime, then made enormous amounts of money selling hacker protection software to large corporations. Ive been following him for a few years after a buddy of mine showed me his website. The guy is quite full of himself, and his site reflects this. Its quite entertaining IMHO. This morning I just ignored this (like everyone - except Keith).

Then this thread came up and I must have been a little bored, so I checked out the site. Agree with Greg on the preposterousness and full-of-selfness it would take for someone to make a site like that, and I wouldn't be surprised that if such a person actually had the means and desire to do something as ridiculous as this he'd actually do it or get exiled to neptune trying (almost said uranus but didn't want anyone to take it the wrong way).

Fortunately statistics are against this and we haven't had to figure out how to send someone to neptune on short notice yet.

hahahahahaah that was funny... I dont know kimble very well but it seems he did quite a bit of spamming on different forums. He could have just done it like every other rally posted it once and still gotten people to do it.

 

I spoke with a buddy of mine who was on the Gumball with Kimble, and he says that the word on the street is that this entire rally is a fraud. He pointed to the facts that a) Kinble spent time in jail at some point on fraud-related charges and b) the following line in the "terms & conditions" on the application:

"The organizer also reserves the right to cancel any event at any time for any reason. No refunds will be made in this case."

Oh so let's see....big rally...collect several million dollars from entrents and...."oops! too dangerous. Sorry, rally cancelled, no refunds. bye"

I wouldn't touch this event with a 1,000,000-foot pole. And anyone on earth who's dumb enough to give another person $30,000 with a clause like that deserves to....well....yeah why don't you just go ahead and give him that money....
