Greetings Tifosi. I thought that I would post this link from today's New York Times that has a little more optimistic economic news than we have enjoyed of late.

Up here in Canada, we have (so far) escaped the wrath of the downturn to the same degree as our cousins south of the border, although our resource-heavy stock market took a fall (in the fall) like all others around the world. Our dollar is well underwater compared to the American Greenback but this again is tied to our resource foundation. Not much help having a cheap dollar if your largest trading partner is treading water to stay afloat:-(

Let's keep our fingers crossed that these projections are more accurate than some of the other economic weatherman's forecasts. The crystal ball still seems pretty murky for anyone to call the future right now but every little ray of sunlight gets people to look upwards.

The actual duration will most likely be somewhere in between the optimists and pessimists expectations.

Personally I would rather prepare for the worst.

This thread probably goes to Business.
