Surprisingly, I did not find that as upsetting and boring as my memories of Shmee's videos What a pity to see the poor F8 could not escape the real-world emissions testing equipment...
I was in Maranello during the week for an atelier session, and the most intriguing sight was an F40 with test plates driving around. The obvious question of what might be tested on a 30 year old car is difficult to answer, but I am aware that a while ago, Ferrari engineers were also measuring clutch pedal pressures on a manual 430 possibly also on my F50 which is stored there. A return to a manual gearbox for the next Icona perhaps?
Very interesting about the 3 pedal manual transmission idea. However more likely this was simply a road test of the F40 after service work there had been completed. The driver seemed very 'respectful' of a F40 customer car on test.
By the way I just noticed the F8 with the emissions testing equipment has the 488 forged wheels - which are not offered as far as I know.
IMO even though many take on the 488 forged wheels , they look plain to me and not inspiring . Multiple spokes just don't look good to me. Hence why I went Traditional 5 spoke Standard wheel. If they were available in forge I would have taken the option.
