It would work unless you are Ferrari and some brand new team comes up with triple diffuser - so now you have to redesign the car, but only you have 10$ left in Max's budget allowance.

I think teams had to sign off that Brawn is a renamed Honda - so they can get Honda's money, otherwise new team supposed to have 0. Look at Brawn sponsorships - not much for championship leading team. I doubt when litespeed declares they are now F1 team money will start pouring in.

That's the point, you either use clever designing, or you suffer the consequence. If a new team has an engineer with that amount of skill and intelligence, then they deserve to win. Money should not be able to buy victory, design and driving should be all that is necessary.

Ferrari does not want the BC's for the reason you suggest. I ask myself what is better for F1, full grids or only Ferrari winning. My answer with conscience is not the latter.

Please the big team should just break away and form their own series. It will be alot more exciting. As Alonso (if I remember right) said: " if we form a new series, be prepare to see the most exciting racing, with the fastest cars and best technology". I really hope in my life time I will see some races of that!!!!!!

Break Away!!!! Screw those two bastards of BS!

I think a breakaway series would be awesome. It looks as though Bernie and the FIA are going to do everything to keep them from doing that. Not necessarily from leaving F1 but from being competition. No matter what happens I think F1 has hurt itself big time with all of this even if the teams stay.
