interior carpet removal question

One small nut/bolt attaches to the window ledge carpeting. It is accessed from the engine side of the firewall, in the centre. No need to remove glass.

 

For my 79 GTS I had to remove the windows as it was not enough to just undo the central bolt.
You could try to remove the carpet without touching the ledge and then see if you can tuck the new carpet back under the ledge before fixing it in place. If it fails you have to remove the ledge.

 

82 gtsi? Glass removal is necessary to do a real good and neat job on that carpet.

Thank you, the lift has become a necessity for me as I've gotten to the point in life that I can't /won't work on a creeper anymore ;-) The garage is the reason we moved recently, that being said, I can't find anything now.... I know, definitely a first world problem.
