I´m looking for original black interior screws (M- and E-serie). Lengh is 1,6 cm and head diameter 0,5 cm. The ring washer outer diameter is 0,85 cm, the inner diameter is 0,4 cm.

I´m also looking for ring and cap if power windows are instaled original to close the hole for the emergency winder. The ring outer diameter is 3,5 cm, the inner diameter is 2,5 cm. The cap diameter is 4 cm and the bracket is 1,8 cm long.

I guess is the same stuff for late Daytona?!

Can anybody help to find a source please.

    Regards Matthias

Not sure about the measurements, but the screw and escutcheon look like the standard ones used on many cars of the 60's.

Try Roadster Factory on the east coast, or XKs Unlimited on the the west.

Matthias, we discussed the screw and cup washer extensively in the thread "246 Dino trim screws". Did you look up that supplier (metricmcc.com) and found them not available in black? Or are you just looking for a supplier in Germany? Here is what I wrote then:

"Just to clarify:On the metricmcc.com site (thanks, DM!), the item would be Slotted Oval Head Tapping Screw, #7973 C, in size 2.9 x 13 mm. I measured it again, and it is in fact 2.9 mm (thread diameter)."

The screws in my car were 13 mm long, except for the ones holding the trim against the fire wall, which were 19 mm long. 16 mm is also available from the same supplier. Perhaps 16 mm would do the job for both locations. The washer would be: Countersunk Finishing Washer # 13912.

In case you are looking only for black screws, I also looked up the Mc Master Carr site (www.mcmaster.com) and they do have the tapping screws in black, but NOT with a slotted head. Only Phillips head or One-way tamper proof head, which you certainly do not want.

Perhaps someone else can suggest a supplier for that screw and washer in black. Otherwise, you can always order a box of screws and washers from metricmcc and have them plated black.

Going to be a hard slog Mathias finding 100% original bits. I tried to do this with my recent interior resto work but failed miserably when everyone was only interested in selling you boxes of 100 & 500 screws at a time.

I settled for the closest i could get and made sure they all matched. But knowing how much a perfectionist you are, i guess you will continue to search. All credit to you.

Someone once told me they had sourced and made a dino pack of interior screws but notsure who it was now. It could have been Parker Hall in the USA. Very nice person and a true gentleman.

I'm in need of a small quantity (<6) of interior trim screws with washers in black for my 71 Euro. I'm reluctant to hand over $140 for the Newco assortment when I need so few.

Does anyone have extras they are willing to part with?

    Guys,

I have to move the Ferrari, and the tractor to get to the screws, so it's gonna be a day or two. I'll dig, then post the results.

    Matthias,
Any luck with the "ring and cap if power windows are instaled original to close the hole for the emergency winder"?

I am about to face the challenge of finding two of these...plus a manual handle...will you make from scratch if all else fails?

One more thing, do you know whether were these covered in vinyl or leather in a leather finish car?

    Regards,
    Paul

I've heard that those Newco kits have enough screws for multiple cars, so if that's true and you have a full set for (1) Dino, I'll buy them a set from you...think of it as defraying the cost of your original investment.
