At speeds above 100mph on the highway when the surface isn't too even I can hear an annoying noise on the inside coming from the passenger side. It sounds like a license plate type metal shuffling around....

Anyone experience something similar? Could it be something underneath the car stuck in the tray?

Car has 1300 miles on it. F12

I seem to have narrowed it down to the passenger seat. Its a race seat with the electric adjustment...

Happiness is going fast enough to know your luggage straps are loose !

The noise wasn't the straps it is the plastic covers under the body. Will have dealer look at it.

After an annual on our 458, we had a high-frequency clattering under the passenger seat above 70mph.

First diagnosis was that one of the front winglets was bumping against the front end; turned out that one of the bolts holding the under tray was a bit loose. At those speeds, was just enough to get air in there and cause it to flap. I had thought one of the (numerous) drain lines were hanging down in the airflow. When I got under there, the under tray seemed secure, but it was just loose enough (and perhaps the aero effect stronger than I thought) to cause the issue.

A few turns of a wrench and problem solved.

It's a bedrock principle of physics. At sufficiently high velocity, *nothing* is tight.

My noise came from that removable interior rear boot lid cover.

Once i opened the boot and removed that piece, it became a much nicer noise free cabin...except for that V12 of course!
