Can anyone confirm the original interior colours of the 375 MM 0456 AM cars? Ive seen loads of exterior shots online but none of the interiors. Were they tan or bordeaux or changed during their lives?

    thanks!

    Hi,

Sorry I don't have the answers for you right now (traveling) but there are some great family films (I think both 8mm and 16mm) that can be seen in a documentary about Ingrid. Also all three kids (the Rosselini kids, and also Pia from the previous marridge) talk about their childhood. Those clips don't show much of the interiors either, but I think they are still epic stuff and they are in colour, so you get your impression on the metallic Grigio etc.

I would have said from memory that the coupé had a red interior, but most likely Marcel would have all the specs on how the cars were built.

The document has been aired on TV but might only be seen nationally, if I find a link to it I will share it of course.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

The restored interior looks a lot more like Connolly VM.3104. Not at all like Red VM.3171.

+1. That looks like VM3104 to me.

Incidentally, VM3104 is currently called Ochre, but I've also seen it referred to in older cars as Arancia. Is that a correct former name or was Arancia a different, oranger colour?

    Hi,

I take it that the lovely colour photos are from the 1954 Paris salon. The one taken from a higher angle would pretty much confirm that the interior was like that (Connolly VM.3104) originally, although photos are difficult to judge on colour. But I think the photos also nicely show the blue tint on that metallic paint, a nice touch that the wire wheels were painted body colour too, except for the outer part of the rim that was polished. Very stylish and seldom seen later on any sports cars.

    Cheers,

    Hi Marcel,
VM3104 is called Ochre in the current Connelly catalogue. I just got samples from them last month. I'd describe it as an orangey tobacco colour. Not beige or tan at all. Looks exactly like the colour in the Rosselini car above. Link attached...

Superb. You can see in the background the 250 Europa Pinin Farina # 0349EU. The car was presented in his two tone Grey-Red scheme, with burgundy roof. The colour of the photo, even if old, seem to be pretty accurate

    Hi,

A little searching gives the documentary on IMDb
Jag är Ingrid (2015) - IMDb

And some additional info as well as a youtube link, now I do not know how legit that youtube upload is so perhaps I will not link it here, but for those of you who would like to find it in some way, the documentary was strongly backed up by her daughter, Isabella Rosselini and she and her brother Roberto (jr.) and half-sister Pia are interviewed quite a lot. I don't remember how much the other twin sister, Isotta Ingrid, was featured, but the family films, 8mm and 16mm are almost certainly copyright of the Rosselini/Bergman family or the production company for the documentary, as AFAIK they could not have released and broadcasted the documentary otherwise.

It is called "Jag är Ingrid" (I am Ingrid in Swedish) or "Ingrid Bergman: In her own words" in English.

It does look like the interior is also original (and likely VM.3104) in this film clip captured from the broadcast.

IMHO nice details also the leather bonnet strap and the transparent (plexi?) deflector and the intake fitting. The whole family can be seen there with a housekeeper/baby sitter or a relative of Roberto's.
