So I decided to treat myself with a drive up the street...well that lasted about 30 seconds until the headlights started "winking", the power dropped and I was coasting to a stop. Electrical power was all but gone, certainly weird because the battery is new and fully charged...Decided to restart the car and it ran but only one bank, enough to drive back to the garage. Checked fuses, while all ok, removing one to the fuel pump fuses doesn't change idle while the one kills the car. I assume the fuel is dead of the relay, either way I think i have electrical troubleshooting in my future!

fuel pump relays could be it- but probably from sitting for so long your entire fuse panel is probably suspect. I just rebuilt my 412 fuse panel and replaced all of the old Bosch metal relays with new Tyco relays from Waytek and the car is a completely different animal- At the very least pulling all realys and pulling all connectors and giving everything a good shot of contact cleaner should give you a temporary fix.

Hi Jagbuff. Great work on the interior. That's a huge amount of progress in very little time. I hope you get the electrics sorted. My car spent the first four months of our acquaintance at an electrical shop. It came out with everything operational, although I do need to play with the headlight switch's rotation to make the lights stay up when the car's cold.

Still on my to-do list is to replace the leather on the dashboard piece at the base of the windshield. Could you share with me the procedure to remove that piece? That would be great.

The fuel pump issue is more likely the wire connector pins on the side of the fuse/relay panel. I suspect you will find the plastic looking somewhere between amber and black where the fuel pump wires plug in. Do a thread search for my solution along with others.

The winking headlights is likely a failed solder joint inside the 'stalk'. There is a ball contact in there so don't loose the ball when you pull the end of the stalk off.

    I hope that helps.
