Interior.....upper trim on the door..?

    Maybe this has been mentioned before, but why do so many 400i's etc, have that depression in the centre of this upper panel. Were owners using their elbows to push the door open ?

    Most of my interior can be saved, by just cleaning, but what to do about these upper door panels............same depression on both sides...odd ?

    Those depressions are very common. You can search the forum for more info as it has been discussed before.
    I don't think there is a consensus as to why this occurs.

    I think they were pre-dented at the factory. They are virtually ubiquitous.

    That's my thought as well. I find it very doubtful that every 400/400i owner's elbows are exactly the same height and length to have dented every car in the exact same spot.

    Very strange either way.
