I now that Dino's have diferents types of interiors hand I don't now what I should order. My dino have the interiors showed on the picture, at reoriginals they have many types and I am very confuse. Thnks for the help
If the picture is the type of interior you have on your car, stay with it! Those are Daytona style seats and they are the most desireable... Re-originals does great work, I have Daytona Style seats in my Dino and they came from Re-originals.... They are incredible!
Yes, those are daytona style seats. Re-originals can sell you the covers, or the completely recovered seats. YHou can always send Matt at re-originals a photo of your existing interior, and he can help you decide what to get. They have a set of covers in that exact style right now, I know, becuase I ordered them and then changed my mind about how to go about installing them and then ordered complete seats. Back on topic. Is that a picture of your interior? If so, it does not look like it needs much, if any, help. Also, the firewall should be the same color as the seats, as should the lower door panels. I've seen the door panels with and wothout Daytona stripes. Mine do not have them, but I'm not at all sure if the stripes were an option on the doors, or just an affectation that some have used to customize their interiors. Anyone out there know definitively about the door panels?
the only door panles i have seen with the daytona stripes are refurbished door panels. my door panels are original and do not have them. my rear fire wall is original as well and it is the same material as all the other vinyl in the car (a grainy texture) and not leather. at this point, it is more a matter of personal preference. daytona style seats was an option, but i have never seen full leather (firewall, tunnel cover, etc...) offered as an option.
the first pic is of the daytona seat in my car. they are from the factory, with my car being specified as having the "daytona style seat option" (commonly referred to as the "chairs" in the "chairs and flairs" package, which wasn't a package, but that is a different topic). the second picture is of the firewall as seen from the drivers side of the car. the rear area is made of vinyl that has been heat pressed to resemble stitching. the final picture is of the drivers side door panel. it is made of leather. there is an overlaid center sectin that is stitched, but the center section is one solid piece. it attatches to the panel behind it. the door pocket is made from a smooth plastic and has a stainless steel strap that follows the upward edging. most cars that have been redone, have been redone using daytona seats rather than the original "standard" style. i have seen a mixture of redo's using leather for the firewall and engine covers, as well as the daytona-izing of the door panels. i am happy to stand corrected becuase even with ferrari's of this vintage, anything could be had for the asking (and $).
The picture is from my car, the door panels with Daytona stripes I thinks its costumize because my car its all original and my door panels and firewall are equal at wsperr. For example in reoriginals for door panels they have two types: 1-U0038 photo Door panels in leather are made in Italy and are available in original Connolly or a great quality, vat-dyed, scuff-resistant Italian upgrade leather, complete, ready to mount. Specify style with removable center insert or one larger piece of stitched ... 2-Door panels, correct heat-stitched original vinyl, ready to mount, 3 original colors available for seat covers they have also many types and my dought it's what to chose. Cumps and thkns for the extremly help
Although my door panels ar tan, the style matches yours. Are thse two piece, or one piece panels? The center section on mine can be detached from the rest of the panel, but they came both ways. Also, as I understand it, the US spec models all had a plastic plug to fill the winder hole when fitted with the optional power windows. The firewall panel in my car is black, but it's leather and appears to be original. I'm replaceing it with tan leather just to make it look a little sharper. I'm not trying to rebuild a concours car, just a nice looking driver. I think you're right about the stripes on the doors. It may be an aftermarket change. I kind of like that look, but I stuck with solid panel doors.
there are two different types of door panels. the older dinos have a single piece, where as the newer cars have the two piece set-up. i believe matt jones offers both.
