One of my favourite tracks that rarely produces a dull race. I'm excited. If max wins again, regardless what Lewis does, he can then finish 2nd in all following races
Bas that is correct but as we all know second for Max is a loss and taking the easy path. I expect that he is wanting to cement his first title win as a resounding victory and if you take his dnf into account and other races that he lost points in winning the WDC will be a crushing victory this year. I do hope he does win the WDC. If he doesn't then he made Hamilton fight for it to the end something that he has not done since Rosberg won the WDC. A WDC win this year for Hamilton will be one he earned and not gifted to him because of having the most dominant car in F1 history.
True that...I do think if he wins Brazil he'll take fewer risks to win the other races when overtaking Lewis. He knows what Lewis is capable of...
I just read the most amazing statistic: mclaren is the only team to have scored a 1-2 this year! That's nuts.
And with 2 races… even if the sprint race is not supposed to be considered a race Hoping the boys in red do well but as they pointed out post-Mexico, their performance gap to the leaders increased compared to previous races. This is the result of Ferrari basically having stopped development on the car early in the year whereas RBR and Merc doing various upgrades to stay in the championship fight: https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/ferrari-f1-hoped-for-better-weekend-in-mexico-despite-retaking-third/6762409/
The F1 website has an interesting little article, Tech Tuesday, that mentions Ferrari were testing and then running a 2022 brake inlet in Mexico, and it still kept things cool. Brembo was involved, so that seems odd if only one team got to actually use a new 22 regulation part on the car.
Well, after being scolded for leaving the "door open" in Mexico, perhaps Bottas shuts it in Brazil....on lewis.

Binotto has been catching a lot of flak but I like his measured approach for this season and next. Ferrari was left on the back foot after the engine loophole was closed and they have been incrementally improving since. Plus I really like our driver lineup, it gives me hope for next season.
