A cousin and I are trying to plan an international trip sometime in early November, and I'm looking for ideas. No real constraints, but neither of us speaks anything other than English (except my minimal spanish), and I'd rather not deal with freezing cold weather. I went to South America a month or two ago, so that's probably out.. and she's been to Italy, Greece, and Costa Rica. We're going to Australia/NZ in Feb, so that's off the list too.

A coworker suggested going to Israel or Turkey, but I'm neither religious nor a history buff, so I'm wondering if I'd enjoy that. I've also thought of Africa (Kenya/Tanzania), Spain, Ireland, etc.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

    Consider a Cruise!

well.. somewhere far away from hurricanes !

Great way to see a lot of different places and not worry about getting lost or going hungry!

South Africa sounds pretty cool to me actually. I am going to do some more research there.

And I was just looking at the map of southeast asia. What countries would you recommend where two english speaking americans would be able to get around and enjoy the country?

    Thanks for the help. :)

Just looked into South Africa, and the wine country, safaris, Baswana, Cape Town etc all look very promising. The 24 hour plane flight sounds killer though.

Go to Japan. RUTHLESS! Tokyo is only a 10 hour flight from you. Get a Japan Rail Pass and see the whole country at 200 MPH!.

What would you like to do? If you're into partying and stuff go to Thailand and head over to the full moon party. From my friend's experience it's crazy. There's nothing like having a great time on the beach, and you can live like a king for a few bucks a day.

I thought about Japan, but I think it's pretty expensive.

Prague sounds really cool. Someone suggested eastern europe today, and I hadn't thought much about it. My grandfather was from Czechoslovakia, so it would be interesting to see.

My cousin probably isn't into partying too much. She likes going out an drinking, but not the club scene. But I still think Thailand would be a ton of fun.

I'm into photography, so I am up for anything that'll be fun to photograph.

And no thanks on East LA. I've been there plenty of times and my spanish isn't good enough. ;)

Prague is very cool. As is the rest of Eastern Europe. I've been to about 12 countries in Europe, and most of my favorites are in the East. The only problem you may have is that English is not as common there. The tourist places like Prague, Kraków, and Budapest, you'll be fine.
