Watch out for purchases with TRADEBIT INC. They are posting Ferrari repair/shop manuals on CD for USD $ 49.99. Once you unfold your CC # , they E Mail you back two heavy files with the manual contents. These are corrupt files and CANNOT be opened.
In addition they claim to send you a CD "just in case" the E files do not open.
No CDs either, and my Mailman drives a Pontiac.
TRADEBIT INC. is on E Bay and Amazon. If you want to make a claim, they never answer your E Mail or faxes. No telephone number to talk to a CSR. E Bay, Pay Pal, Tarzan and the Amazons, and national Congress cannot even do a darn thing to get your money back.

Just challenge the charge to your card. If enough customers complain their account will be closed. Thanks for the heads up.

I bought through them a couple months ago, and when trying to get a refund never heard from them. They are crooks! Anyways, I disputed the charge with AMEX and everything was taken care of. Thats why I buy everything online using Amex.

+1 The only card I carry. (And one reason why we specifically accept Amex at Ricambi too... Yes, it costs merchants a bit more, but I completely understand why folks chose to use it. I do the same thing)

+2 for Amex. We put everything on our Amex. We even pay many of our bills with it. Why? Dispute resolution. Every time I've called Amex with a dispute, they remove it no questions. I even questioned a finance charge amount once (that turned out to be right) and they removed all of it anyway.

I've disputed quite a few charges in the last couple years because of the internet, and every time I think that AMEX is going to tell me to pack sand, but they never do. I would get screwed out of so much money if I didn't have my AMEX.

+1 on that one! The only time I ever had a problem w/MC or Visa is when I tried to work with the merchant & went over the 60 day limit (and the merchant was wrong in this case, card co. recognized this, but there was nothing they could do after 60 days).
