Hello Ferrarifriends My name is Patrick, 31 years old, from Helmond in the Netherlands. I'm currently working as a customs specialist at a large international logistics company. I have been a huge fan of the prancing horse cars since I was 14 years old. My mom got me a 1/24 scale model of an F40, which opened my eyes Been addicted to Ferrari ever since. Sadly I don't own a real F, however I collect 1/18 models, most of them are red Ferraris. As for my passion about this wonderful marque: I have won 2 prices in official Ferrari contests. The first one in 2005, which resulted in an actual works visit in Maranello. Probably the best experience one can have, except for owning a Ferrari The second contest again brought me to Maranello, this time with entrance to the 60 Relay in 2007. 2 days of sheer Ferrari paradise, walking on Fiorano, seeing current and past heroes in cars of all ages speed through artificial chicanes...as you can tell, it was very pleasant So far for my short introduction. Pictures of beforementioned events can be found on my facebook page. Have fun browsing them, I surely have!
wellcome Forza, also if I am a very "young" member, I want to give you a warm "welcome" in red color. Fine to have here another guy infected with the red virus. michi p.s.: in what challenge did you get this wonderful prices?
The factory visit was the 1st price of the E-challenge, in which you could participate on the Ferrari website in 2004. You had to answer 20 (I'm not sure about the amount) questions about Ferrari as fast as possible and the eight fastest participants were invited to the factory. No hotel stays, no trip refunds, just a 30 minute visit to the holy grounds. Wasn't exactly cheap, but the outcome made it worth every euro spent! The 60 relay tickets were also won on www.ferrari.com. This time you had to answer 60 F-related questions in the shortest amount of time. The grand price was a 2 day visit to Fiorano during the biggest F-event ever held in Maranello. Many hundreds of Ferrari's from all over the planet visited Italy that weekend. To be part of that scene was close to heaven I have managed well in both contests
