Hello everyone, First of all I apologize for any mistakes I would do. I'm French, so thanks not to judge me on my language, or on our politicians. I've been following Fchat for years, and now I think it's time to join your community ! That said, let me introduce myself. I've bought my first Ferrari in 2008, it was a year 2000 F360, 6 speed, rosso, with tan sportseats. Really good experience, I kept it for one season, and ran it for about 8k miles. Here is a picture of it. I sold it for a 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago, 6 speed. I've been dreaming about this car for years, and finally I could afford to buy one. This is definitely a unique experience. Some pictures are attached. I've put 6k miles on its tacho. I sold it last year, cause I needed to get some cash back, for some professionnal reasons. Right now, I'm on the point to buy a 2000 360 F1, rosso, nero leather, from Belgium. I will pick it up next sunday, I can't wait ! I will post pictures and details, as soon as I get it. Welcome. Great looking cars and if that is your home (estate) in the background, that looks great, too. Will not even ask you which of your cars is quicker. The Lambo's V12 is a monster. Taz Terry Phillips
Hey guys. The Lambo is definitely faster, no need to argue bout that. It's also very fine looking, the style is very aggressive. On the other side, I was very disappointed with the quality of the elements (everything was looking cheap), and the sound of the machine (Ferrari V8 and Carrera GT sound the best, IMO). Anyways, that was a fabolous (... and very expensive) experience.
Bienvenu 360FRA. Don't worry for the English language, there are many international members here and that makes this website great in exchanged experiences from all over the world. You had a very nice 360 and Lambo! Why not going straight for a F430? They are getting really affordable now in the European market. I force myself not to watch the trade in values anymore of mine which is a manual gear Anyway, my car is a keeper! Let's us know what gonna be your next move. A bientot, Stef
Thank you guys. I'm glad to be a Scuderia boy again ! It's not about the price. I'm a real fanatic of the 360. I think the design of it is much more pure than the 430. There is also something about the sound : when you pull over a 360, it screams like a F1... that sound is unique, IMO one of the most orgasmic motor sound of the last century (with the F355 and the Carrera GT). Next one can be a 458, a Carrera GT, a 430 Scuderia, or even a 360 CS. It will depend of the budget I can allow to the buying price, and to the maintenance costs. For your information, last year I paid 12k$ for a new clutch on my Murci... Hard to accept, when you know it won't last more than 20k miles, if you shift the good way, with a manual 6 speed...
Great Looking Cars! Welcome back to the Ferrari Family! I agree with you concerning the looks of the 360, it is a timeless design that looks awesome coming or going! I liked the look so much I just purchased my first Ferrari 2 months ago, a 2001 360 F1 Modena, Rosso Corsa with Challenge Stradale Black seats, I love it!!! Happy Motoring!
Bon jour M 360fra, And welcome from California, your command of English is only exceeded by your taste in automobiles. The debate over the merits of 360 versus 430 rages here too. Bottom line appears to be that while the 430 might be the better performer the 360 [speaking as a completely unbiased 360 owner!] is miles better looking. Possibly even---magnifique.
