Monday getting on the big bird out of DFW and heading to "Tail of the Dragon" Goin with Porsche to drive new product media event Will be in the neighbourhood for a couple of days
Wow, now that sounds like fun. Drop in over @ easttnriders.com and let them know. Good chance to meet a lot of friendly motorcycles that work and live near the dragon (including a few from the store).
If you stop in at the CROT, ask to speak with Ben. He rides a Repsol replica Honda and is one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to the Dragon... you'll see why if you can keep up with him for more than one or two corners (and no, there really aren't 318 corners in 11 miles, it's more like 200-something, but heh, you gotta have your legends). Many of us on EastTNRiders.com get together to ride Wednesday nights. Ben keeps the store open late for gas and snacks. Late evening passes are fantastic with little traffic (except for the few bears and turkeys). I ride a Honda CBR600F4i or my Suzuki Hayabusa. My 88.5 Testarossa just doesn't like the corners too well. Perhaps we'll meet up on the "hill." Steve
It is a great ride and quite exciting but no run off anywhere. You must stay on the road and no shoulder. Some curves are nearly 180.
