I know Amarillo isn't quite the destination of choice for you guys, but...if your calendar is open October 6th and you want to drive your machines to Amarillo for a good cause, take a look at this website:

Is anybody game for an F-chat road rally to Amarillo? We could all meet up for dinner the night before at one of Amarillo's finest! ;)

What's up with the PT Cruiser's having their own class? I'll chip in $20 towards you eating the 72 oz steak at the Big Texan Steak House.

    $20 if you pre-register!

And I'm going to be SHOCKED AND AWED if any of you Texas guys actually show up, but I'm hope'n some of you will!!!

There are at least 3 F-cars at the show as of right now. One is a fellow f-chatter from Oklahoma who will be bringing in his TR.

Would love to have you all, and make this a real Ferrari event!!!

There's a huge PT cruiser club here, as well as a club in Dallas that is bringing up a few cars. I ain't touch'in that 72 oz. beast. It looks like a roast.

OK you guys...I heard from my first Dallas commit this a.m. for the Route 66 Celebration of Wheels - a fellow F-chatter - he didn't give me his F-chat name but it's a blue 348 spider.

Here's what I have committed so far in the "super exotic" category:

    grey F430
red 512TR (fellow F-chatter in OK)
    red 348TS
blue 348 spider (fellow F-chatter from Dallas)
    silver McClaren SLR
    yellow Carrera GT
    2 Ford GTs
    Callaway Corvette

OK my downstate Texas F-chatters, time to step it up! Remember, I'm waiving your entry fee for your trouble!

Am actually considering it, but I've driven it between here and Amarillo before, not a fun drive. We'll see how I feel as October approaches. Amarillo needs a love sled.

anybody drivin' up to Amarillo from DFW needs to watch it around Childress and especially Estelline. Long time speed traps, redneck/bozo cops, etc. Really gives Texas a hicks-ville reputation. Those guys spot an F car, you better be going .5 mph, or better yet, pull into a 7-Eleven and wait 'em out.

Quick update on cars scheduled to show:

We are going to have a pretty neato "Super Car" class. Here's what's entered so far:

    06 Lambo Murci
    90 348ts
    95 348 spider (Jano's!)
    89 TR
    06 Carrera GT
    06 Ford GT
    07 Ferrrari 599
A few Vipers, one of which is supercharged to 900 bhp
    A stellar Pantera
    Possible Maserati Spyder
    A possible Lola Indy car

We're also going to have some cool older Europeans that aren't necessarilary high-dollar, but interesting to see: A restored Lotus Europa, several neat older Porsches, and of course the usual parking lots full of muscle cars, antiques, T-birds, Corvettes, and Mustangs.

I wish I could talk a few more of you into bringing your rides to Amarillo for the weekend! Jimpo can you round us up your hoochie mamas?

There is a clone of the 348 SPY in the DFW area, except that is Factory Azzuro with California plates - I was being detained by one of "Farmers Branch's finest" a while back when the clone drove by Northbound on I-35.
