I received an invitation between the 18th and 20th of this month for an exclusive presentation, not sure what it is all about, I guess I could have asked when I confirmed, but that would make it to easy.

So does anyone know what are they going to show at the "private viewing" and ideas?

    Minor problem with my post.....

Location of "secret" event is at Pebble Beach on the 3rd tee.

The CEO of Ferrari North America is going to be there or he is inviting me personally so I am going to ask him if he can "hook" me up with ordering a white F430 and with 3 pedals.

I got invitations from both Ferrari and Maserati for that time frame. The Maserati event is a drive of the Maser of your choice, and the Ferrari event I believe is for the Scaglietti. I signed up for Friday, noon (Maser) and 2 pm (Ferrari). Both are on the 3rd tee at Pebble Beach. Then Maserati is hosting an event from 6 to 8 that evening (also on the 3rd tee) featuring Frank Abagnale, the guy they based "Catch Me If You Can" on.

Hi, got the same invite for the Maser Drive. They said it is not transferable and you must bring your ID. Wow, they sound serious. The paper stock that they used was definetly high end and looks really classy.

I believe Ferrari will be showing the FXX and some. Mill Valley(F of SF) is busy receiving and preparing some cars to be displayed at the event. I was hoping to see the new F430 Challenge car (it will be shown in Germany this September for sure).

I did attend the Maserati Drive in Vegas several month ago. You'll get to drive them on the street and feel them out. But wasn't really exciting....

So me and my buddy went to the Ferrari tent on the 3rd tee.

They had the FXX, both forms of the F430 in red and couple of 612's one with the 2 tone paint scheme. (No pics allowed)

They let you sit in the F430's ( the F430 seats are very comfortable, much more than my 360) but not the FXX. So the FXX door was open so I attempted to scoot on in and the hallway monitor gave me the look of what do you think you can sit in this just becuase you were invited here and the door is open? ( mind you there were no "Do not breathe, touch this car signs anywhere)

Then they have a few Maserati's out side int the open air tent.

Side note: I asked one of the hallway monitors what could I do to order a white F430, he told me to go to the dealer, I asked him if he would go with me so that they would let me order one to get before the end of the model run, he did not find humor in my request.

My wife and I sat in the FXX, nobody complained. Did you notice every one of the 4 or so 430s they had on display had the Challenge wheel option? The talk by Frank Abagnale last evening was VERY entertaining. What a story that guy has to tell!
