Is anyone familiar with the Iola Car show in Iola WI? A friend of mine from South Carolina told me about the show and is planning on attending. It seems this show has been held for something like 30 years, attracts about 100,000 people over its 3 days and has a few thousand cars on display. Has anyone ever attended?

I've been there and it's great if you are looking for parts for your factory-stock Model T or Terraplane or other pre-WWII vintage tin.

It's a HUGE swap meet. I personally hate digging through someone else's rusty junk looking for parts I don't need. I have a '67 Pontiac GTO and I couldn't find a single part for it that isn't already well-reproduced and much less expensive. Who want's to pay $50 for a heavily pitted door handle when you can buy a new one for $24 that can't be told from OEM?

But lots of other guys I know think it's some kind of religious experience. Depends what you like.

I go every year, it's definately deminished over the years though. Nowhere near as nice as it was even 5-10 yrs ago. Definately a huge swap area, as well as a designated "Show" area, and a "Car Corral" area where all the cars are for sale. Only Collector cars at the event though, so this year will be 1984 and older. I've seen a few Fcars there over the years.
