I'm confused. I checked and checked, i have no compass on the iPhone 4. I also don't have a compass on my iPad 2, besides 3rd party download.
Just checked my wife's iPhone 4 and she has a compass. Have you tried to spotlight search for it (may be hidden away in a folder somewhere)? If you have iOS 7 just go to the home screen and, with your finger about halfway down the screen, swipe down. This will bring up the search where you can type in compass to see where it is hiding.
my compass is in the same folder/group I left it in. I was able to search for it. I'm really enjoying ios7. Seems speedier (4S) & looks better in some ways with more function (i.e. swiping up from the bottom allows some quick access)
iOS 7.0.2 is out, and addresses the security issue mentioned above. It weighs in at 21MB if you're on an iPhone...not sure about an iPad version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
So far my biggest issue with iOS 7 is that it broke some of my apps. My OBDII scanner app won't work until they make it iOS 7 compatible.
Put it in both the ipad and the 5s yesterday. So far so good. And I've gotta be honest, I'm really starting to like the new interface...... Cheers, Ian
my biggest gripe so far (besides the afforementioned Microsoft-esque fonts and design) is it's too complex now...each screen has too many features packed into it. I can't tell you how many times I clicked somewhere to get feature a and got feature b instead.
The update eliminates some but not all of the page loading delay that came with 7.0. Anyone else notice the delay?
Here are too issues; both very hot topics as well on apples communities pages; Can't resize wallpaper photos - very stupidly annoying (try it) And the really bad one - long term you will see a lot more of this topic It's too f-ing bright! It's like staring at a fluorescent bulb...even turning down the brightness doesn't help. 'notes' are bright white instead of yellow is a perfect example. My eyes are sore after a few hours on my phone. Compare it to the look of ios6, the easiest test is to compare text messages side by side, you will be very surprised. https://discussions.apple.com/message/23535867?ac_cid=tw123456#23535867 Kevin
i tried resizing the wallpaper photo for some time and finally gave up at the Apple store one of the Apple gurus said it was because of the photo format size not being a square V 4X6 etc. i did an eye roll and walked away can't believe no one has complained about this
So I'm still using iOS6. I really, really liked the old look and feel. With iOS7, I might as well get another device. That look and feel was part of the Apple experience, and now it's gone. And there are some interesting competitors... Matt
I am still using iOS5 on my 4S. I would buy a new 5S if I could use iOS 5/6 but since that isn't an option I am sticking with mine.
