Does anyone know where I can find an iPhone 5 fm transmitter? I have tried google searches and cannot find one. Basically I want one that just plugs into the new style iPhone 5 connection port that runs off the phone, I want no wires. Here is what I want but this one is for iPhone 4s and older.

Amazon.com: Scosche FMTD2 tuneFREQ Wireless FM Transmitter with Digital Display: MP3 Players & Accessories

I do not want to buy the Apple conversation thing and then run into one like the link as I have read some people tried it and it worked and others say it doesn't.

My F430 has the factory radio and NY area stations are terrible and all commercials. I want to use my phone's Sirius app and then just transmit to the radio since my car does not have a aux input for the headphone jack like my Boxster had from the factory and it does not have the Apple factory connections like our Mercedes cars.
    Thanks in advance.

Maybe try the 30 pin adapter? It's analogue only, but might work. I tell ya, it's a bit more involved but I'd look at a BT adapter to connect to the aux in of the head unit, then just stream. Just did a variant of that (only used a BT phillips cassette adapter) with a DD.

RF FM transmitting is not my favorite connection....with the huge amount of radio stations in your area the bleed will be significant.

I've used an old Sirius starmate in past and it worked well as there are dead stations around.

My factory radio has blue tooth. Can i steam to the radio or is that phone only?

Don't think so as I don't think Becker built it into that years model - to stream BT, the A2DP BT protocol/profile is required, pretty sure (again not positive) your BT only works (and if like most, it's marginal) w BT headsets for phone calls.

    Make sense?

Well the phone works fine. Takes about 20-30 seconds for phone to sink up once car starts. I was afraid you'd say that.

I wonder why no one makes an iPhone 5 transmitter yet. I hate this new apple tip I wish they stayed with old tip.

Agreed, but more future capability in the lighting (we'll see..).

Have you tried the 32 pin connector, Apple branded not 3rd party? I know it passes analogue as I use one in one vehicle to connect to the stereo via 32 pin connector, digital does not pass(playlists, album art, etc) but full music does.

Your Belkin, I assume (if its like one I used a while ago in my 360) "talks" analogue. So it "should" work.

Have someone take the head unit out and check the back for additional inputs (line in, aux, etc). Then get the appropriate wire to connect from your phone to back of stereo. You should be set.

Or do the new F radios not have any inputs in the back?

Dependent on the model of radio in your 430, the Becker iPod connectors are around £60-80 here, $90-120 there. If you get that fitted, it will have a specific connection cable, and make a nicer fix as the quality will be better, and you will be able to control the iPhone from the steering wheel controls if you have them

Even of they come with the older 30pin dock, you can get the lightning converter and it will still work better than a transmitter

Wait, Zack is correct (I just re read your OP - I thought you didn't want a wired connection). I pulled my Becker and replaced my CD changer in (I never use it) with a cable that terminated w a 3mm stereo jack - was, IIRC, around $25.

Hides under the dash, pull out to connect to headset jack in phone.

Marked sound improvement (full range) over RF device.

Transmitting music from your iphone to your car's FM receiver = terrible quality.

There are other ways to hard wire it in without having to swap out your car's stock head unit. In my old Cayenne, I bought some sort of device that allowed me to hard wire my ipod in by basically disconnecting my CD Changer and converting that to be the AUX-in. It was a little jerry-rigged but it worked great while keeping my factory unit. You'd spend more than $20 but a good car audio shop can rig it up no problem.

So for 13 bucks I bought a fm transmitter with 20 station choices (uses 2 aaa batteries). Sound quality is not bad either considering 430 is not greatest sound to begin with. NY radio is terrible and full of commercials. Now I can listen to my Sirius app on my iPhone. I can't wait to drive around with some decent music once the roads become unsalted.
