"Easiest" is a little FM transmitter that plugs into the phone. You then tune it and your car radio to the same frequency and "voila!"

My son just picked one up off Ebay for ~$15. [New]

That would be the easiest but I would be dissapointed with the sound quality.

Alpine have a good controls for the iPod that mimic the Apple ones. Play the demo in this link : http://www.alpine-europe.com/alpinefullspeed/

You still have to use a lead, but its a good quality option for the time being in terms of sound and ease of use. Alpine also sell single DIN solutions like the one in the pic which will fit your 575.

There is nothing worse than trying to Navigate an iPod without the click wheel if you don't have a touch screen or can't fit one in the car.

I would consider buying a second iPod for the car to save plugging in and removing every time you use the car. After all the music is kept on your computer and updating only takes a minute.
