    Hi all,

I just bought an 07' f430 a week ago, everything's great, love the car except when i plug my ipod to my f430 in the glove box , it doesn't seem to work. Tried to look it up from the manual book but it does not have any content about Ipod. Thus, would like to seek advise from you guys. Is it just a "plug and play" thing or are there any other buttons need to press to activate the ipod to the stereo?

I did try to press the media button and scroll to the main menu where there's a category says 'connect to ipod' i press ok on that but nothing seems to happen as well.

i also did try to go to the system settings - external device - ipod , but no luck as well.

Thanks for your time guys, please advise.

Had the same problem when I picked up my 07 430. Turn off the engine with the ipod plugged in and then restart the car. If that doesn't work, unplug the ipod with the car running, turn off the engine, plug the ipod in and then start the car. If that doesn't work, do a soft reboot of your ipod and then plug in and start the car.

I just played around with these steps and it finally worked. Once it worked initially, it has worked perfectly since.

    Thanks Fundlawyer for your advise,

i have tried all the steps that u guided but it still does not have any songs played by the ipod instead Radio stations still continued to play and on the screen i see "no media list available".

Just a question do i have to 'on' the ipod after plug in or before?

    Thanks.

Did u do a soft reboot of your iPod and then plug it into the car with
the car off? The iPod should be on when you start the car. Also, how old is tour iPod? If that doesn't work, try a different iPod to see if you can isolate whether it's the iPod or your car. Also, make sure the software on your iPod is up to date.
