Depends entirely on the stereo you have. In my 328, the stereo in fact has a USB / iPod
input connector tucked down in the leather pouch on the right side of the hump. But
if you stereo predates iPod connectors, then you'll simply have to update your stereo.
Not all iPod inputs take USB and not all USB inputs take iPod.

Just try it and see what happens - get a USB to iPod adapter and plug it in to the
iPod connector and see if the stereo recognizes it. It either will or won't but won't
do any harm just to try. The two formats are actually somewhat similar, so give it
a whirl and see what happens. Worst case it will just lock up the stereo until you
turn it off and back on (this happened in my wife's car when I tried a USB stick on
her iPod cable, using an adapter - just didn't work, but no harm done).

iPod plug in 599 is power port, not output. Radio will take a CF card in slot behind the faceplate, I have an 8gb one in mine now. Need to format playlists and a lot more unlike iPod. Don't know if there is memory stick adapter to iPod power port, I've never looked.

I've own a 328 GTS for 2 years. There is a radio in it. I opened it once because I was waiting for my daughter to come out of her music school. I tried another time to put a CD in it...It works. But it is useless. Why don't you listen to "sound"?
