Does anyone know if there is an attachment that can be connected for an ipod for the becker head unit? i guess the FM modulator sucks as when the engine revs up, it picks up on the engine noise and looses reception.

If you have the cd changer option it's very easy. Any (good) stereo shop can do it. There is an adapter that plugs into the same harness for the changer. The IPOD plays as if it were the changer.

is it an "either" / "or" type of operation?...i.e. it's either the Ipod that works (and the CD chnager will no longer work at all), or vice versa?

You can split the input connector for the CD changer and connect the iPod there.

With the radio out and looging at the rear of the radio there is a plug on the upper right side in three colors.

The connector on the extreme right is known as C3. The 3 pins top to bottom on the extreme right are the CD ins.

    they are numbered as follows-

upper right= 19 is the + left input
middle right=18 is the common ground
lower right=20 is the +right in.

    These will do it.

No epert but I have a dension ice link that works really well.

Firstly, it negates the need for a CD changer as all your CD's are in the ipod anyway. Secondly, it makes the stereo think the ipod is a CD changer - since you alrady have a CD changer can it not be connected as Aux instead?

What year 360 do you have? Do you happen to know which becker model #? Most of the US cars have the 4372 as far as I know. I have a 6 disc CD changer in my car. With the ice link adapter, does the head unit see a 6 disc changer or more or does it just see a large # of tracks? Any details/run down would be helpful, thanks!

Thanks, GCalo...does this only apply to the 360, or does it work on 430's as well?

I have a CS and my dealer hard wired the unti in so that ipod sits on centre tunnel and wires are hidden under material. Very neat.

You set up your 6 playlists in itunes. Link takes the first (alphabetically) and assigns those to be the 6 CD's in the virtual changer. There is no limit on how many tracks in each virtual CD so you could put your whole library in one playlist - however, Becker unit does not show track name or artist name so you have to scan through on number of track only.

I generally split my playlists up on artists or genres and have about 6-10 albums worth in each playlist. That equates to at least 30 odd hours of music.

sounds cool. And it just plugs in the back where the 6 CD changer normally goes? Which model ice link did you buy and did it require any special harness or just the one that came with it?

I left it to dealer but page 1 of http://support.dension.com/downloads/icelink_plus_installation_guide.pdf
    deals with Ferrari/Becker units.

The car is currently with dealer being set up for the next track event I am doing but when I get it back I will post photos. no visible wires, cradel sits on side of transmisssion tunnel (passenger side; downside points away from me; upside no bumping of my knee when driving) and perfet sound.

I just recently ordered the Becker auxillary input kit for around $18. It comes with a phone connector and an RCA auxillary connector and the keys to remove the radio. (You can google Becker radio and find the parts phone number on their website and there is a link here but either the phone number or the part number is off by one digit.).

In any event, I followed the instructions provided, but they don't work for the 6104. I didn't have the radio manual with my car and Becker doesn't have any manuals remaining for the 6104 radio. The key to make the auxillary input work is to disconnect the green C input socket altogether, use the blue one they send and connect the wires as indicated (red yellow brown). Then, to use the auxillary input, you have to turn on the option on the radio. To do this, you have to hold down the middle button (*) on the top right of the radio for more than 4 seconds. That will trigger a user menu that has a aux on/off option. Then, once you plug in an MP3 player, select "CD" and then hit "CD" again and it will accept auxillary inputs. Taking the green socket out removes the CD changer from the input so the radio doesn't confuse the input source. Also, if anyone knows where I can get a 6104 manual (2002 Spider), that would be swell.

Another tip, to remove the Becker keys from the radio, take a screw driver and press in on the metal tabs on the sides of the radio. This seems to release the keys so they can be removed fairly easily. Hope the learning curve helps someone in the future.
