I've always been under the impression that (excessive?) iron intake by men can cause health problems and could be lethal.

Why is this and would this include taking multi-vitamins containing iron? Is this why men specific vitamins generally contain 0 counts of iron?

Statistically, more women tend to be slightly anemic (iron-poor) so "women's" multi-vitamins include this. My blood shows slight anemia so my doc has me on a multivitamin and I eat spinach a little more often. This isn't a problem in most men.

One Iron pill a month is enough. Just make sure you get the ones that are easy on the gut.

Too much iron causes liver damage.

don't take a pill, get your iron naturally with meat and dark green veggies, kale, spinich etc.

    Thanks guys.

I ended up trying a new multi-vitamin by Source Natural's - Life Force.
