What are the chances? I have been following F1 for years, but this is the first time I got to see a race in person, and just a few days before my birthday ! 4th decade is officially over, as far as my personal globe trotting mileage is concerned. And while I am a Ferrari fan and owner, I am also Polish, so it was a thrill to see Kubica win. His talent and humility make for a nice package in a world of competitive sport. Yes he won b/c of Hamilton's mistake, but this is all part of the game, and he was P2 in Q3, so it is not undeserved, or a fluke.
And what an ironic turn of events during the weekend:
Germans beat Poles in Euro2008 (soccer), but the guy who scored the only 2 goals For Germany is actually Polish-born. And in F1 a Pole beats his German teammate, but in a German car ! If that is not ironic, I do not know...

I wish I had seen the FChatters in Montreal thread earlier. I was sitting in silver 11. I am now officially addicted and I am looking into other venues, particularly if they coincide with business trips. I do not miss flying coach and the supposedly 4 star Sheraton Centre Ville was mired in 1970s skankiness. I wander if Ferrari World theme park in Bahrain will be open in time for the next F1 opener? My company does a lot of business in the middle east. The wheels are turning, and I might have enough miles to take the fam !!!!!
    :)
    Forza Ferrari.
