http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-FERRARI-F355-BERLINETTA-TUBI-EXHAUST-BEAUTIFUL_W0QQitemZ180237063938QQcmdZViewItem Three questions... First... I saw a pic of this car with what I assume was the last owner (in fact I think I that pic to photoshop rims on it http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193782). Anyone know any history (already checked the registry)? Second... there seems to be quite an uproar when an 355 gets to 30k. So what about 50k? Lastly... would it be better to buy a wrecked (and fixed with documentation) 355 or one with 50k+ miles that has not been in a wreck?
I have seen this car. It looks like it has changed hands for a dealer in Richmond VA to this new guy. Apparently, the car was owned by an FChatter on the left coast. Steer clear...
With a buy it now of 53K, even at 53K miles this seems super fishy, even in this messed-up market (mileage/price coincidence anyone?). Don't go for the bargain, you're just asking for trouble, especially with a pimped out G-thang car like this. Save some more, and get a good car. As Gothspeed has said many times before, the 355 isn't for the faint of heart. And no, 53K miles isn't too much for a 355, as long as it has been maintained properly with all issues resolved. Might be a great car, but even if it is on the up and up, the BIN price should be higher, more like $60-62K, at least. Good luck in the hunt.
This car was at last years Classic on the James event and overall was very rough------It was also listed on Ebay last month by Royal Auto Brokers for $49K-----It could be a nice daily driver for the right price, but not at what they are asking....
