Is an 88 Mondial a good F-Car to start with?

    Family man here with two kids so the four seat configuation seems appealing. There is a 1988 Mondial 3.2 Convertible for sale near me (Bergen Cty NJ) - 45,000 miles - listed on Ebay here:

    Other concern is that given this is an auction I would likely not be able to get PPI done until after I am committed to buy.

    My other, very different choice, is to restore a basket case 1970 Cuda Convertible (already sitting in my driveway).

    I have an 88 Mondial and it has been terrific for personal and family use for 9 years - my daughter never wants me to sell it and I probably will not. Check out the recent article in Forza on the 3.2's.

    That all said, and I'm a huge Mondial aficiando, the money would be better spent on the Cuda for a full up restoration. What a cool car.
