I'm currently converting my '88 Milano to a non ABS setup and I've run into some trouble: I can't get the pedal box out. I'd like to avoid pulling the dash out if at all possible.

This is probably a long shot, but is anybody here familiar with these cars? It'd probably help if you were in Salt Lake City. I thought I'd double check here before calling the mechanics around here. Thanks a lot.

Yeah, I did. The AlfaBB is a great help, but I was hoping to find somebody local. I figured it out by myself this morning though, so I don't need help anymore. Thanks anyways.

I unscrewed several screws on the dashboard and pulled it out an inch or two. After ten or so minutes of messing with the pedal box, I got it out. I wanted to do it without pulling the dashboard but I think it's the only way to do it, unless you want to cut off the pedals, which is more hassle than it's worth.

Edit: I'm converting it to non-ABS so I won't be reusing the same pedal box, hence why cutting the pedals off was an option.

Nice summary. I guess it's self-explanatory as to why that did the trick for your Milano.

If you don't pull the dash, the pedals (especially the brake pedal) won't clear the bottom of it.
