The only thing the GTB and GTO have in common is the "599". The GTO is a pre-sold limited production detuned XX at a much higher price point. A better stats comparo would be GTB vs. HGTE. I have to believe that almost all 599's now being built " per customer order only" would be HGTE. The fact that 599 production is already winding down because Ferrari has reached the end of this model and is getting ready for its replacement. Tells me any new customers would rather wait for the new model. Rather than buying the tail end production run of the soon to be discontinued 599. The roadster version recently unveiled by the factory is its last gasp. I would assume that sales of either the GTB or HGTE are almost nonexistant at this point. Based on all of this, I seriously doubt that GTO production had much effect on GTB/HGTE sales.
