Id say over the last couple years, my interest in the car launches have grown less and less, but 2022 is at an all time low. Mainly this is because a car launched used to be an event, now it's just a post on twitter. For the most part we get digital renderings which is primarily about the livery. I seriously do not understand the rave people have about wanting a new livery every year. Why is the car paint more interesting than it's features?

Also with the new regulations for 2022, all the cars are almost cookie cutters of each other. There is very little teams can do to really be all that different than the rest. Every year I was excited about what new designs teams could think of, and now we have to look at the fine details to find anything.

At least I am still very excited about Day 1 of testing.

I'm very much looking forward to see the pictures from testing. Times for 1st one will not be telling at all as no live timing equipment I think, Bahrain times will be more telling.

I was very excited for the car launches but almost everyone will be launching a livery, not car...sadly. Excited for this season, for sure.

With the budget cap, the teams could dispense with these lavish "presentations" and avoid the unnecessary expense.

I’m watching the various launches but the launch cars will all look exactly alike and we won’t see real aero and looks until the 1st Quali. Even Christian Horner said the dar will look different at race day

There are no real launches. There will be actual race cars but only final in Test 2 at the end of it.

The only launch that counts in my book is when they hit the track.

I could not possibly care less. I want to see if they can open a gap from the lead in the first race.

To your question, sorry but no.

I’ve followed F1 for more than 35 years. My interest was already waning over the last 5 or 6 years and now I am totally done with it.

it used to be interesting and intense with a genuine sense of peril, intrigue and glamour etc. but I now find it is either extremely dull or extremely fake with not much in between.

I hope F1 can continue to build a new fan base, but my kids (12 & 15 years old) are totally uninterested. I asked them if they knew anybody at their school interested in F1 or even just cars in general and out of a school of 1,500 pupils they couldn’t really think of anybody.

At 16 all I could think about was getting my driving license, the generation coming through don’t seem to care about it.

    The launch does mot matter.
Nothing is really revealed until testing begins.
