I know of a 1982 Euro 400i that will be up for sale soon. It is being sold by my cousin who is liquidating his collection. Vehicle is in Ross, CA. 30k miles (IIRC), all service up to date, including major in the last year. Not quite sure what he wants to get out of it as of yet. Please PM me if interested.

    Thanks

    Marc

    EDIT

I was just informed that all 400i's are Euro cars (thanks Dave!). I apologize for not having better info about the vehicle. I believe it was orignally purchased in Switzerland. I will talk to Paul (the owner) today, and post more relvant info includinig the serial number.

    Thanks

Even though they only made "Euro" 400/400i, it's still important to know what configuration the car is in now -- i.e., a completely stock Euro (no modifications at all), or a Euro converted to US specs (and what those changes are -- cats, air injection, lights, etc.).

Mitch is your plan to buy everyone in the country so they are very rare, hold them for a year, then slowly begin to sell them for a quarter of a mill each due to how rare they are? :D

If Mitch helps me with my 82 400i, I will let him borrow mine.

We own a 1984 400i GT (#49041). It was "federalized" by Shelton Ferrari in Ft. Lauderdale. Not sure about engine/exhaust changes, but side marker lights (Toyota, 1983) front (orange) and rear (red) were added (incorrectly wired, as it turns out). You will see "Euro" version from factory has front turn signal light "repeater" on fender. You will also note an error in Owners Manual where front Parking/Signal lenses are mis-identified (they are reversed). The "story" about this model is that it was developed/targeted for Euro athletes (football and basketball, I am guessing). The turn radius is quite long, otherwise it drives easily and is quite confortable. Not at all fussy. It is also said that Enzo drove one of these as he got older (I am guessing it was easier to enter/exit than his other offerings). It was also the last of the front engined V-12s for about 20 years, until the Scaglietti 612 appeared.

errr... until the 456 arrived in '92.

At least when mine was federalized they used the same rear side marker lights as the 308 and left the front indicators alone.
