Though I once shot black and white now it's hard for a B & w picture to capture my attention. Do you think Ferraristi would collect black and white prints? I think only if they are historical but not because they are satisfying. For instance a B & W of the GTO prototype is historical but not colorful. Also found b & w country style picture copying Ansel; Adams style and it is satisfying because the woman seems in focus and everything else is out of focus--is that done in the lab? Or is it something involving silver paper, or printing blacks extra dark? Seems to be more going than in the blacks and whites I shot but still not enough to lure me back to b & w,

I think the factory B&W prints have been going way up in price at auction. They used to go for under $100 and now sell for several hundred dollars.

There is always a market for, and demand from knowledgeable collectors for good to great and rare B&W prints.

Klementaski and others, will always be B&W.

Whenever I give one of mine away they always seemed pleased to "see some history"...

A local music photgrapher here that "just happened to be there" now routinely gets $750 for a SRV print in B&W. Other popular Austin scene folks are similarly valued.
