I hate to sound like an outsider (I'm a newbie, I know), but where are you planning on heading Saturday? I would love to meet up with you at some point for the run (I'll have to bring my 911 being that I haven't picked up a 355 yet) and finally put faces to all these posts. I will be at the Running of the Bulls as well as the Greenwich Concours, but there is nothing like a good run on a Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend! BTW, I head out to Amagansett quite often and heading anywhere on LI Sat. morning could be a nightmare...but I'm sure you guys know exactly where to go to avoid that. Let me know and hopefully I can join you.
Dear Eric: A few of us are getting together via the turnpike. I am meeting Lupe at exit 11 around 10am on the NJ Turnpike and Utkarsh around 18W around 9am. Would you like to meet us somewhere inbetween? You can not miss us. It will be a blue Viper, yellow F355, and red 360 Spider.
Keith, Thanks for letting me know when and where. I'm coming down from Ridgewood, so it would probably be best if I also joined you guys at 18W. I will confirm with you all tomorrow since I have a 6 week old son and my schedule is very "fluid" if you know what I mean. ;-) I'll coordinate on my end (get the wife's OK) and I hope to see you guy early on Saturday. Sounds like it should be a great day! BTW, where at 18W will you guys be? I'll be heading down (south) on the TP and I would imagine that you guys would be on the North bound side. Dear Eric: I fully understand. A six week old son can be a handful. As for meeeting, what I am doing is going towards the GW bridge and taking exit 71 (fort lee). It is the next set of exits after the turnpike exits. There are only a few, 67 - 72 I believe, before you hit the bridge. Meeting spot is up to you. Where is the rest area?
Looks like I'm good to go (green light from the wifey). As for the rest area, there is a rest area directly after Exit 18W and 18E. If you are on the 18W route (Meadowlands), the rest stop is on the right just before the roadway elevates to go over the marshes. On the 18E side the rest area is on your left with a right exit also prior to the road elevating. I can meet you in Fort Lee as well...whatever works best for you guys. Thanks.
