I don't think this is a bad thing. Maybe if several tracks all fail to renew at once, it will bring racing back to some of the historic tracks. It may also reduce the price of hosting an F1 race and make it a little more viable in Austin.

Things will get much better once Jos Verstappen replaces Bernie at CVC.

Jos has been repaving Spa by hand, so that shows his intention on keeping it on the calendar after he assumes control of CVC.

The Turkish GP has been on the chopping block for a while now as it is the race with the lowest attendance. I went there last year so I could still see it while it is around. It is a great race but Turkey is a soccer nation. Only. And a bit too far off for the Europeans to attend.

I'm sure Bernie will have no problems replacing it.

As for Jos the Boss: he continues to impress me :) wasn't he seen recently in Texas chopping down trees with an axe to make room for another track?

If the drivers keep getting younger, instead of champagne, they'll have milk and cookies on the podium. ;)

(Or would that be milk and rookies? :p)

so how old are Indy500 drivers?

BTW: didn't the Williams drivers drink milk in 1979/80 because of their Air Saudia sponsors?

Huh? CVC has hundreds of businesses throughout the world, all but 1 unrelated to racing.

Holy cow. Doubling freaking fees in the middle of a world recession? Geez. I'd MUCH rather have a full place than 1/4 at those exhorbitant fees. It's a shame only affluent people can attend sport events like this nowadays. Good day folks.

The most recent figure that I've seen was 30 Mil. That was the amount Bernie waived when Bahrain was "postponed".
