I put a good 1,000 miles on it lately
Its so refreshing turning a DIAL for heat or the radio with NO distractions.
Its less stressful to drive and the sound..........

@gtjoey Good on ya!. Took my 550 out this weekend for about 90 minutes. Went through a short rain squall. It didn't melt, no crime committed!

The only crime would be driving it hard whilst the oil temps were low!!

Ask the guy who bought my Fiat Dino 2400 GT. His 18 year old son hit redline with cold oil and dropped a valve. Wanted his money back. Yeah, right.

Shall we say, I sort of convinced them to tell me. Folks with no mechanical sympathy should stay away from high performance cars, especially Italian ones.

My wife drives like a racecar driver.
Once she was driving the ‘69 Bronco and I over reacted and said “Do you hear the engine talking to you….that’s all she is geared to comfortably give….just because you have more pedal does not mean you need to run 75 on the highway at whatever rpm set me off at the time.

New cars and especially new diesels are so amazing and a complete idiot can drive them irresponsibly and the CPU’s just retard the system and keep people from blowing them up which is great.

I also don’t like my wife driving my tow rig because it’s a 7.3L turbo IDI and you actually need to watch EGT’s and other gauges and most people just simply don’t and are blissful.

    Rant over.

I was so relieved when my wife got her Taycan as I never had to worry about her revving it too hard when it was cold!

I am so paranoid about this stuff that I even warm up rental cars that I don’t even own!
